Marketing and affiliate tweets are really getting annoying on twitter. While being a micro-blogging platform, people can still leverage the power of twitter for Internet Marketing, if they simply learn how to effectively craft their "pitch tweets" with normal tweets.

I don't know, the entire point of Twitter was social networking originally. It was designed to be short updates about the random things going on in people's lives, and it became popular because people DID want to read about other people. Then the spam exploded on it, bring it useless to the average user without getting loads on Direct Messages about some hair loss product.

In the end, don't complain because there were some people who used it the way it was designed to be use. If you want to complain about the spam, then i'm on the same boat :-)

I was pretty resistant to the Twitter movement for awhile (because of all the spam) and just recently signed up. I am using it as a way to keep my website subscribers updated if they are already on Twitter. I will see how it goes.

That pledge should pop up as soon as someone signs up for twitter.

That's why I don't read 80% of the twitts on my dashboard. And I also think this is a waste of time. Between refreshes my inbox is invaded, so I gave up a long time ago reading everything.

I have been using Twitter since last year and there is no doubt that in the last 3/4 months it has just become one big advertising forum. I was a huge fan and twittered a lot but now I am scratching my head wondering how it will ever become anything more than that?

I would take the pledge if I was registered there. I don't think I am getting the big fuss about Twitter. Who cares what I or anybody else is doing right now... except Shaquille O'Neal hehehe... he made it all famous and worth while :)
