Set your New Year's goal today!
In keeping with yesterday's posting about New Year's resolutions for AdSense publishers, today is a good time to set some goals for the coming year. You now have access to your AdSense earnings for the previous calendar year. Run the reports for each month and print them out. Then look over those printouts. Have your average monthly earnings increased? What kind of a clickthrough rate are you getting? Are you satisfied with your earnings?
Now set some goals. If your earnings are small, why not try doubling those earnings? Going from $10 or $20 a month to $20 or $40 a month is actually not that hard — it's going beyond the $100 or $200/month mark that things get tricky. But there's always room for improvement. Write something down, tape it to your computer monitor, and work towards that goal.
