Republishing EzineArticles Content

January 5th, 2010 by Eric Giguere Leave a reply »

A query from a reader asks if it’s OK to republish the articles I linked to in my previous post. The answer is “yes”, because the articles are published on EzineArticles. In general you can republish any article you find on EzineArticles provided you follow some basic rules:

  • You can’t change the article in any way (this includes changing any links or inserting your own links)
  • You must attribute and link to EzineArticles
  • You can only republish 25 articles per domain, with a 250 article maximum across all domains, per calendar year

See the publisher terms of service for full details on what you can and can’t do.

Of course, not everyone follows or respects these rules. Also, these rules don’t apply if you contact the author directly and get permission from them to republish their content.

You are free to add content before and after any article you republish, and to embed your own ads. It helps if you can make the content unique in some way. Some AdWords advertisers use articles like these to help improve the score of their landing pages.

If you do a lot of searching of content from EzineArticles, consider purchasing my Article Gatherer software, currently at version 1.1.1. It find, downloads and formats articles for you, making it easy to republish the articles in a WordPress blog or on a website.

In the meantime, here are some more articles I’ve written recently:

Yeah, I’m keeping busy with article writing. Even upgraded to an EzineArticles premium membership to get the faster feedback and acceptance times.

I have a few articles lying around I think it might be time to post them to an article site.

  2. Yeah, You make sure to post them because it’s a great way to get some high-quality links to your website!

  3. This might be a dumb question, but wouldn’t that be considered duplicate content if you post the same article in two or more domains?
I always thought that google would punish you for that.

We did a bunch of article writing all last year. I submit most of my articles to ezine. My question is, is it best to submit them all to ezine, or spread them around? I write a unique article each submission, and don’t use a program to “spin” articles. I’ve found this to be very time consuming so I want to make sure I am getting benefit out of submitting 50 articles a year to ezine…

You know, I used to write for Ezine a couple months ago, however it is not the same as it used to be. They are currently making money off my written content while the only thing I get back is visitors to my blog. I’m not saying it’s bad or anything, it still is a wonderful site if you want a lot of visitors pouring in.
I recently started writing for Ehow and other sites. Now I am getting paid for my content and also getting visitors to the links I post at the same time. You might want to check that out as well.
Great article though, Ezine definitely makes sense if you need traffic but don’t know where to start.

  6. Apple tablet – Yes friend you should get your articles up ASAP, Marijan has a valid point of the backlink and with ezine articles good reputation with google your back link holds good weight with google,

However it is also worth pointing out you will recieve good quality traffic from the article as well.

Ezine articles have a good solid reputation with google so understanding keywords and picking some relevant long tail keywords for your article could see your traffic increase quickly and if you conversions grow so all in all article promotion definatley gets the thumbs up!
