OK, I'm done with this thread... Did I mention that Jericho is on tonight and that it's really good. OK, that's the last one... And Numb3rs comes on right after it and it also really good. No, seriously, that's the very last one...

Guys, this post-24 discussion is now dominating the comments in my sidebar. Aren't you worried that others will think we're a bunch of geeks? :-)

Roswell is drama-oriented, as opposed to action-oriented. Personally, I find that refreshing. There's more story development and less shoot-yet-another-slimy- monster-with-a-phaser. If you're stricly an action junkie, you may not like it. With the possible exception of the original Star Trek, Roswell is my all-time favorite Sci-Fi show.

Really, I always dismissed Roswell as a sort of Dawsons Creek, but with Aliens.

If you're a Sci-Fi fan (and, being a programmer, you shoudld be!), I've got one word for you: ROSWELL. It's a great show that was on for three seasons. I've got them all on DVD and have been known to watch a complete season in a single (very late) night. It's hard to stop watching. ;>)

Prison Break is something I've had laying around in it's cellophane wrapper far too long!

But after many people badgering me to, I've started watching Firefly and love it. I didn't get on with Buffy or Angel, but this is something different. The Wild West in Space. And unlike other space dramas it isn't all clinical and clean and preaching morals... and I don't think I've seen a single rubber faced alien yet.

Shame Fox did an Alias on it after just one series.

FYI: We've been watching the first season of Prison Break this week and it's great. Unfortunately, the second season's not out on DVD yet, so we'll soon have to find another show to watch!

I think the problem is JJ Abrams ditched Lost just like he did with Alias. It seems he is really good at creating series, but as soon as he abandons them they go down hill.

I forgot about Heroes! Loved it, it was a great show to watch during the week while I was waiting for the next Sopranos episode to air. I wasnt huge on the finale, but I really enjoyed most of the season.

Eric,

If you run out of TV shows to watch, try the two Bourne movies -- The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy. The third installment is in theaters (I'll wait for the DVD).
