Pissed at Google's New AdSense Referral Policy
Google's pissed me off with its new referral policy for AdSense: $5 immediately on signup of a new AdSense publisher and then $250 if the new publisher makes $100 or more in earnings in the first 180 days after signup. Why didn't they do this sooner?
Think of it: thousands of copies of Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program have been sold. Even if only a fraction of those readers have become AdSense publishers, I've literally referred hundreds of new customers to Google. But I couldn't benefit from any of that, because they didn't have any kind of a referral program until a year or so ago, although it wasn't that great because it didn't pay anything until a publisher made $100 or more within 90 days (which was then lengthened to 180 days). But now the referral program pays immediately on signup with a big back end “thank you” if the publisher performs… to think of how much money I could have made… sigh…
If you haven't signed up for AdSense yet and are reading this, well…
Or, failing that, buy a copy of Uncommon AdSense.
End of rant.
