OPAD Day 6

February 6th, 2008 by Eric Giguere Leave a reply »

So today was interesting… my credit card number changed and I made the mistake of deleting the old number from my PayPal account before adding the new one… which automatically unsubscribed me from PLRPro, Unique Article Wizard, my web hosting accounts, various other things… a bit of a nightmare, really, but now I know what I’ll be writing about tomorrow!

My contribution for Day 6 of the One Page A Day challenge is Website Preparation and Content, the first lesson from my search engine success guide. I won’t post further lessons here, you’ll have to subscribe to get them :-) It shows the kind of site you can easily build with PLRSiteBuilder, too.

So let us know what you did for Day 6…

  1. In this post, I talk about what I do for a living.
I’m a Comic Book Artist Of course, as a vlogger, the post includes a video montage of the works I’ve created.

Today’s journal entry, Journaling 30-day-trial, Day 8 , has to do with further use of my homemade Ganzfeld device. I used it again today for another “power nap”. I can’t believe I waited so long to make one of these things!

    Eric,

I visited your “26 Steps To 15K A Day” site.

I noticed that there is no way to get back to the index page once you click on the articles page. Being a web designer, being boxed out like that just kinda bugs me (you know, like misspelling AdSense bugs YOU). ;>)

Also, the title of the site is a bit lofty isn’t it? “26 Steps To 1K A Day” might have been more believable. Just my two cents… before taxes.

Johnny: that site is intended to be delivery of course material. Going back to the home page doesn’t do much, since the home page is a squeeze page… there are links in the footer to get you elsewhere.

Also, the 15K a day actually refers to traffic, not money, although I realize now that’s fuzzy… but that’s what the original document was about, 15K a day in traffic. I may clarify it, but then again maybe it’s good to have that impression :-)

    Hi,

I have been slow at this as I could not figure out how and where to insert the daily challenge! If this “Leave a Reply” is it, then here goes.

(If not, please educate me as I find it a little confusing)

Since Feb. 1st I have written 3 articles:

Hi Ann! What you need to do is leave a comment on each “OPAD Day XX” post with a contribution. So you need to add a comment to OPAD Day 1, OPAD Day 2, etc. Otherwise I won’t be able to track everyone’s contributions…. As it is, it will be tough to track!

  19. Well, the OPAD challenge isn’t doing as much as I’d hoped for my AdSense pages, but I sure am adding to my blog.

Today’s slice of OPAD goodness is a follow-up on my problems with keyword research, Keyword Sniping – An Update on Keyword Research.

  20. Eric Giguere says:

I expect the effects of the OPAD challenge to be long-term, so don’t expect an immediate bump in traffic or anything. Mostly what you get out of this are links and possibly new subscribers… but that’s OK, too!

I can’t believe I’m 5 days behind. I stand by my earlier comment “Offload as much sys admin tasks as possible” unless it becomes part of your professional blog.

After installing PostgreSQL 8.2.6 they released a new major version (8.3.0) just 2 days later. Start again.

With everyone in the family getting sick and spending time migrating data, I was able to put the whole thing together as a step-by-step guide in Upgrading PostgreSQL to a new major version.

  22. Jon Baines says:

    Hi Eric,

My post for Day 6 is an introduction to my new blog The Newbie Journal.
    See you at Day 7
    All the best
    Jon
