OPAD Day 2

Day 2 of the One Page A Day challenge. My entry isn’t quite ready yet, which is why I’m so late posting this, but that’s OK. Remember that you have until March 10 to fill all your “slots” for the contest. Of course, the earlier you fill them in, the less rushed you’ll feel.

Anyhow, add your Day 2 entries to this post. And I’ll try to get Day 3 up earlier, since I know the folks in Europe must get impatient…

    Hello Eric!

I was curious. Does Day 2 correspond with February 2? I was just wondering because I’ve already got an entry for Feb 3 (since here it’s already Feb 3). But if it’s for Feb 2, then my post for Day 2 would be this one:

    Dealing With Haters
I already posted the above link earlier, along with my post for Day 1. In any case, I did a bonus entry for Day 2:
    The OPAD Challenge and Why

  4. Eric Giguere on February 2nd, 2008 10:28 pm

Yes, Day X corresponds to February X, but I don’t really care what date you have on what you published, just that at the end of February you have contributed 29 new pieces of content to the Internet at large… just make sure you link to each one in a separate slot, that’s all!

    Eric,

In the email notices I get whenever someone posts a comment on this thread, I’m still seeing rel=”nofollow”.

If you don’t mind my asking: Is that supposed to be there? I thought you had removed the nofollow tags…

Here’s my OPAD Day 02 Entry: Affiliate Silver Bullet (ASB)

(Is Dustin Struckman’s ASB just a scam? Or is worth using in the first place?)

  15. Eric Giguere on February 3rd, 2008 8:22 am

Kathleen, the “nofollow” attribute gets stripped out when WordPress goes to display the comments. They’re in the comment in the database, yes, but the “DoFollow” plugin I use strips them out. You can see this by doing a “View Source” on the actual pages. The email notices will show “nofollow” tags, yes, but that’s expected.

Help! Sorry, I know it’s not directly related to this topic, but I really need some recommendations for good web hosting.

I’ve always used Godaddy, but a couple days ago they overcharged me for seven domain names I bought.

I was supposed to get a 20% discount on any domains purchased before February 15th (it was clearly specified in the e-mail offer they sent me). But, when I contacted them, they said that discount didn’t apply because another (smaller) discount was already in effect. I explained that I only used the ONE code, but they didn’t care and just blew me off.

Bottom line: they made an extra $5.60, but they lost a customer. It’s not about the money — it’s about trust. I no longer trust them.

    Thanks!
    Johnny
