So Google's changing the way AdSense ads look, updating them with a more Web 2.0 type of look. You don't have a choice in this — Google's changing everyone's ads over to the new format — but they're claiming that the new ad formats look better. Here's what they posted on the Inside AdSense blog:
The bordered ad they show definitely looks better to my eye. I'm curious to see what it looks like without a border, though, since most AdSense publishers don't use borders on their ads. None of these new ads have shown up on any of my sites yet, they'll be rolled out over the next few days.
It will be interesting to see what happens to my earnings over the next week due to this change. Google's claiming we'll make more. I guess we'll see, won't we?
