Keyword Elite Back To Using Overture Search Data

So when I fired up Keyword Elite to do some keyword research today (despite the rant of my last posting, keyword research is still useful for AdSense publishers… but it's not something you spend hours doing) I was told an update was available. They've switched back to using the Overture keyword selector tool (KST) for the monthly search volume numbers. This may mean that Overture's going to start slowing down again (tools like KE are surely responsible for its downward slide) but for KE users it's a welcome relief. When the KST went kaput last week, KE switched over to Wordtracker, but an annoying captcha dialog popped up for every ten results, which made the tool semi-useless to me, since I like to let it run in the background while I do something else. I'm glad the Overture data is back. Apparently KE is trying to negotiate a better solution with Wordtracker that wouldn't be so intrusive.

Speaking of KE, one thing I've never done is explore its ability to create article-based AdSense sites. You may remember I reviewed a piece of software called “Desktop AdSense Cash Machine” a while back that did the same thing. Well, it looks like the latter doesn't work anymore (at least the version I have) and so maybe this is an alternative. I'll have to give it a go.
