Coming Up To 5 Years Of Fun!

March 11th, 2010 by Eric Giguere Leave a reply »

I just realized the other day that this blog is almost 5 years old now…. the first post was on May 30, 2005. Wow. I should do something to celebrate. But what? Let me know what you think….

You can start a new contest and ask people to write something about memwg!
Happy 5 Years and many more to come!

    Happy 5 years Eric!

Maybe you can do a recap of how you’ve done in the last 5 years, what has worked for you and what hasn’t. Or maybe highlight some of the past posts, your favorites and what you feel are most helpful, and also those that turned out to be mistakes. Not very original I know but I’ve enjoyed your blog over the years and hope it continues for many years to come!

    Dear Eric,

I’m wondering how you maintain your spirit of blogging of this past 5 years. I rarely see 5-year-old blogs and most of them have been hiatus for quite a long time. This is certainly worth celebrating! Maybe giving free backlinks to some top commentators on your blog would be a good one… :p

Congrats! 5 years is a long time. If your blog was a person, it would have grown from a baby into something you can have a conversation. Weird, huh?

    Happy almost five years !
    That’s a great accomplishment.
You should write a book for the occasion !

    I think I will combine a recap with a special sale… let’s see.

  7. Happy 5th Anniversary memwg. May this blog live forever.

Definately looking forward for the recap.

    Congratulations Eric :)

Happy 5th Anniversary! In your 5 years worth of posts what do you consider to be your favorite article? If you are to choose only one what would that be and why?

    Cheers!

Congrats indeed, Eric. It’s a long time to maintain focus. You’ve been very helpful to many over the years, and I certainly appreciate it.

As others have suggested, how about a post on what you believe are your 5 most important posts .. or the posts that satisfied you the most, etc.

While you are at it, do you have any thoughts you want to share on “recycling” posts … taking a post from years back, updating if needed, changing the date and re-publishing? Bad, good, OK to do, not OK, unehtical, etc.?
