Chitika news: faster filtering
As feedbuzzard and other sites are reporting, Chitika has listened to the feedback and criticism they've gotten from their publishers (including yours truly) to better prevent surprises when publisher revenue is audited. The problem, you may recall, is that their auditing process was occuring so long after the fact that publishers were in some cases seeing grossly overestimated revenues: some of the publishers lost over half of their expected revenues due to the auditing process.
What Chitika's doing now is the sensible thing, which is to filter out clicks from invalid countries (those not currently supported by their merchants) as soon as they happen. They're also generating the daily revenue reports more quickly now, which was another complaint that publishers had. See their blog for the details. As a side note, they've also improved the look of their blog: someone finally went and put the Chitika logo on the blog's header. What a concept!
