		<description>In my opinion, Google has never handled this right anyway. I wrote them multiple times requesting the ability to have standalone text links, etc. They said they didn&#039;t want people to spam them. Lame excuse.

As a result, I was never compensated for a number of people who signed up on my recommendation.

As far as I&#039;m concerned, I&#039;d rather have no referral program at all than a ham-handed implementation like the one they had in place.</description>
