Web Hosting is Never Perfect
Today my hosting service was down for a couple of hours due to some UPS failure down at CI-HOST (who provide network services for KGB Internet) in Chicago, sorry if you were trying to access this blog or the Make Easy Money with Google site in general and nothing was happening…
These things happen… In my AdSense book I recommend using a reliable web hosting service and this doesn't change anything… even the most reliable service will be down on occasion due to network mishaps.
No, I Don't Have an Affiliate Program
Updated June 16, 2005: Actually, I sort of have an affilate program now. See the Make Easy Money with Google Affiliate Program (Sort Of) for details.
In case you're wondering, there is no specific affiliate program for Make Easy Money with Google. This is a printed book, not an online-only book. I don't sell it directly to anyone, that's the publisher's job. Nothing for me to sell means no affiliate program for me to offer.
You can make a bit of money by referring others to the book through programs like Amazon
Associates, but it's just a small percentage of the selling price. If you buy the book through my own Amazon affiliate link then you effectively double my royalties on that copy, for which I thank you!
Yes, there are other AdSense books available online, and yes, they have affiliate programs. I haven't read these books so I can't actually recommend one or the other. You can find them easily enough by searching Google (see the handy search bar below) for “AdSense book”.
The Make Easy Money with Google Blog is up!
Yes, the official blog for the AdSense book “Make Easy Money with Google”, is now up and running. In this blog you'll find updates and announcements related to the book, as well as general AdSense and pay-per-click news.
The book is scheduled for release on June 17, less than three weeks away. If you're reading this through a news aggregator, please see MakeEasyMoneyWithGoogle.com for details about the book. It's a book for non-techies that shows how easy it is to build money-making Web sites (and blogs!) using Google's AdSense program. It's the first AdSense book from a major publisher.
